Fluor corporation opportunity: EA-5QWUUF7 is for an initial workload on IBM Cloud VMWare. Fluor has 4000 Virtual Machines and this opportunity represents roughly 50. Unfortunately, the Fluor CISO, has declined VMware since it doesn't have a SOC II type 2 report. We cannot connect the VMWare network to the Fluor network without this report. I understand from Bertrand Chiu that this is in flight, but Type 2 will not be until summer 2019. Is there a way to expedite this so we could have SOC II Type 2 in 4Q 2018? Although this initial deal is quite small, the larger deal is in the $M and we can't start even the smallest of deals until this report is completed. Customer is actively considering moving workloads to Microsoft Azure as a result of this delay. A year from now they will be entirely on Azure.

I have confirmed that it is not possible to accelerate the Type 2 certification process once Type 1 has been achieved. 6 additional months will be needed after Type certification is in place.
The target date for SOC 2 Type 2 is June 30, 2019.
I see this has been moved to in plan. Does this mean the request for 4Q 2018 will be met?
