    Sorry for the delay

    I've tried AWS CLI on IBM i and AIX. Direct Link Connect used to have a 1Gb connection but I've read it was upgraded to 5Gb.
    You need to set up the reverse proxy following documentation and you can improve file transfers using parallel jobs and using using some adjustments depending on your OS and S3 client.
    On AWS CLI (Python based tool), you can use something like this on your ~/.aws/config file:

    [default]

    region = us-south

    output = json

    s3 =

    max_concurrent_requests = 20

    max_queue_size = 10000

    multipart_threshold = 256MB

    multipart_chunksize = 128MB

    When using IBM i you can also change TCP buffering increasing from 64K (default) to 1MB.

    If you need more details you can contact me

    Please feel free to re-submit the "idea" with some more detail if this isn't addressing what you are trying to accomplish.
