Check price of base image

Hi,

Often when I launch an Ubuntu 22.04 Linux virtual machine, the pricing summary will show something like $2.45/hour.

If there are 730 hours in a month, then $2.45 * 730 = $ 1788.5/month for the free open-source Ubuntu software.

This price is stress-inducing. It does not yet include cpu/memory/disk costs. It might be preferable to show a lower price on the base image. Many base images are "provided". Meaning they are free.

I will attach a screenshot.

Thanks.

@Guest There was an issue with displaying the correct prices for the different image options available for s390x VSIs (Linux, HPCR, z/OS). It has been fixed, can you please retry and let me know if it works as expected. The Ubuntu image is provided at no charge but for others, the respective price associated should be displayed. I also wanted to note that this was an issue only with the (incorrect) price display whereas the actual billing for the zVSI usage remained unaffected.
There was another additional minor issue that was fixed recently and the changes should reflect in production cloud by last week of Aug.

    Hi,

thanks for pointing this out and raising ticket here.
This is a bug, as the Ubuntu image is "provided" for s390x based LinuxONE VSIs. (The UI will actually switch to "provided" as the profile selection is altered.)
