add a command line timeout option when using putty and SU level access

Inactive sessions close off, which is fine, however when working with IBM support and multiple putty sessions are open its often difficult to keep them alive so adding the timeout option would alleviate this. we increase timeouts on IBM Brocade switches when required then lower when finished.
