NS1 Connect: For the Filter Chain option UP, include an additional option PING to ping the IP address designated in the ANSWER specifically.

For example, if the ANSWER IP address is 190.190.1.1, no returned ping data from that IP will eliminate an answer, thus a failover to the next prioritized answer.

    Or PING being a side-by-side (separate) filter used with or without the UP filter. UP being used with DNS monitoring and PING for answer IP. This could offer a comprehensive solution for both A-RECORD and DNS failover.
