Catalog is starting to get confusing, will only get more confusing

During my first pass at Bluemix I became lost in all the technologies available. I did not understand them all and I went with a simpler / inferior solution - Parse.com. As IBM acquires more cool technologies the catalog will only get deeper and more intimidating. IBM should also emphasize solutions: 1) How to build a better search engine using Bluemix 2) How to build a concierge app 3) How to build a gameshow contestant app (as was done with Jeapordy). It's easier for people to get their arms around a concept like this. Then when you tell them how to build these example apps, you introduce them to your technologies.

This is great feedback (and we've heard it quite a bit). We are actively working to make the initial experience in Bluemix a little less overwhelming. Come Q2 of 2016, we'll guide new users to only the "essentials" (for free) and let them start a full product trial at any point afterwards. Exciting stuff coming, stay tuned for updates.
