IBM Cloud - Structured Ideas

This portal is to open public enhancement requests against IBM Cloud and its products. To view all of your ideas submitted to IBM, create and manage groups of Ideas, or create an idea explicitly set to be either visible by all (public) or visible only to you and IBM (private), use the IBM Unified Ideas Portal (https://ideas.ibm.com).

Shape the future of IBM!

Directlink cloud port speed match with Equinix order

The new Directlink cloud order process requires the customer to place an order on Equinix with matching port speed to that on IBM cloud. This however creates a problem where the customer need to place a new Equinix order and redo their end of the network configuration when they need to upgrade port speeds. This problem is accentuated by the various lower tiers of port speeds that we now offer to start customers off.

By allowing customers to order a higher port speed on Equinix, they can easily place a new order on IBM cloud for higher port speed without the added work of redoing their end of the network. This is what they have been doing with the old ordering process of manual approvals by our network engineers

we will not implement,  Orders are meant to match up on the automated portal.  the whole point of the automation is make this upgrade / downgrade quick and seamless.  ingress and egress ports (on our network and the partners network) must match to ensure their is the expectation of equal bandwidth that floes between the networks.
