The goal of Lets Encrypt (letsencrypt.org) is to get SSL encryption everywhere, free and automated.
What would be nice is that when I add a new Route to my application (NodeJS/WAS Liberty etc) that I have the option to tick a box that will use the provided Lets Encrypt client (https://github.com/letsencrypt/letsencrypt) to automatically create, install and maintain a Route specific SSL certificate. This would provide an easy way for developers to offer SSL to their clients/customers and make Bluemix an easy choice for people who want to spin up a quick but secured platform.
The list of sponsors to the project include Mozilla, Akamai and Cisco, adding IBM's name to that list would be a good thing for both the project and IBM.

Code updates are now available at https://github.com/ibmjstart/bluemix-letsencrypt
I would also love to get an easy way to use letsencrypt certs
Would still like to get this better integrated, but please check out the following from a couple interns on our team: https://developer.ibm.com/bluemix/2016/08/22/securing-custom-domains-lets-encrypt/
