We are using Key Protect Dedicated and currently lack a clear, easy-to-understand overview of the resources associated with each encryption key. For monitoring and operational purposes, it is essential to have visibility into all IBM Cloud services and instances (e.g., Secrets Manager, Container Service, COS, databases, etc.) that use a specific key.
As the number of associated resources grows, identifying them through the Resource List becomes increasingly difficult, and in some cases impossible, because not all resource IDs are displayed or not in this format.
In the event of a future migration, such as from Key Protect Dedicated Version 1 to Version 2, it is essential to understand exactly which resources are using each encryption key.
In addition, deprovisioning resources and removing obsolete backups should automatically unassociate resources from the corresponding encryption keys.
