Desire user ability to "disable" or "collapse" certain UI components to minimize platform API calls

There are alot of UI elements that are independently loading within the dashboard (I've counted at a least 10+ spinners at once) Frankly, many of items ultimately loading are simply noise to my immediate needs (e.g. Containers with 0/2 public IPs, VMs with ...). I would value having the ability to "collapse"/"disable" certain dashboard UI elements and presumably enjoy the benefit of a "faster" perceived dashboard load which executes less API calls. This is a similar approach to web apps which provide twisty elements for expense SQL query data points. If the user asks for it, then they are more forgiving about the small cost to reveal the info. However, having the whole dashboard page trying to load and show everything results in a sub-optimal experience.
