IBM Cloud - Structured Ideas

This portal is to open public enhancement requests against IBM Cloud and its products. To view all of your ideas submitted to IBM, create and manage groups of Ideas, or create an idea explicitly set to be either visible by all (public) or visible only to you and IBM (private), use the IBM Unified Ideas Portal (https://ideas.ibm.com).

Shape the future of IBM!

Get Notifications events via API

Currently the only way to notify maintenance events is via mail and unidirectionally or by entering the web. There is no way to consult via API (or in any other way) the maintenance / events bulletin. It would be of great help if this bulletin is available to be consulted by some other means and thus be able to manipulate this information within the organization to generate alerts, calendars, etc.

It happened to us that we found out late about a critical maintenance that affected productive servers, because we had not seen the email, and this brought us considerable downtime.

In short, the idea would be that this information is exposed and can be consulted by some mechanism that is not via the web or email subscription.

This should also apply to Support Center cases if emergency actions are logged by IBM in there, since that is what we experienced (no notification was in the maintenance / events bulletin)

Experienced the same situation in 2024.
